Duration

02.01.2014. – 31.05.2015.

Project No.

L-KC-11-0006

Funded by

European Regional Development Fund, Ventspils University of Applied Sciences, SIA “ASTROSAT R&D”

Summary

Exploring the use of modern data transmission technologies WiFi and WIMAX for communication with nanosatellite networks (CubeSat) and the constellation of satellites while using Irbene radio telescopes in aerial time-division mode in order to improve the signal to noise ratio. Research on technical implementation of satellite signal receiver path and control system equipment. Research on the development of modern communications channels; development and comparison of communications equipment nodes. The proposed activities are divided into five units, three of which will be implemented by VUAS and two by Astrosat. (Research on small satellite technologies. Research in the field of communications of small satellite data packages and M2M network technologies)
